1. Old Jed's Home

Old Jed, a simple fisherman with a penchant for hard liquor, lives here. The barkeep at the Winter's Cradle Tavern has barred him, and you can either convince him that his chronic alcoholism will soon lead him to a watery grave or buy him a bottle of wine at Pomab's Emporium for gold and experience.

2. Jhonen

If you speak to Jhonen here you will learn that he is troubled by terrifying dreams. After you have done so, walk to area four at the southwestern corner of the map, where you will find Elisia, the source of his dreams. Tell her you know Jhonen and she will ask you to return a sword to him. This will generate an experience reward and a pearl which you can sell at Pomab's Emporium.

3. Apsel the Scrimshander's Shop

Speak to Apsel outside his shop and he will ask you to remove a troublesome wolf from inside. If you do so, you'll gain gold, experience and Apsel's Dagger. The shop door is locked, you'll need to break it open or pick the lock to enter.

4. Elisia

Elisia, the one who haunts Jhonen's dreams, waits here by the shore. Go speak to Jhonen at area two before going here. If there is a bard in your party, have him talk to Elisia for several Token of Faith gems.

5. Temple of Tempus

You can purchase temple services and healing potions in the temple here. You can speak to Accalia, an initiate, and Everard, a battle priest of Tempus. Everard will tell you the story of Jerrod, a barbarian warrior who sacrificed himself in order to save his people. This area takes on much greater significance later in the game.

6. Hrothgar's Home

Hrothgar lives here, and will discuss an expedition to the Kuldahar valley with you. The expedition cannot begin until a caravan from Caer-Dinival is safely escorted to Easthaven. He will ask you to find the caravan and bring it back to town. You can exit Easthaven at area ten in search of the caravan, but you will find that it has been destroyed and its supplies have been stolen. Hrothgar will also ask you to take a supply list to Pomab.

Once you have explored Easthaven and your party is ready to move, come back here and speak to Hrothgar to join the expedition to Kuldahar.

7. Winter's Cradle Tavern

The Winter's Cradle Tavern is where the game begins. You can discuss the area with the local townspeople. Hildeth, a female dwarf, will tell you of an upcoming expedition through the mountains, and Landlady Grisella will ask if your party can deal with some beetles in the cellar.

8. Pomab's Emporium

A merchant named Pomab works here. He has enough stock to equip your party with basic supplies. You can also wander up the staircase in the right hand corner of the store and pilfer a few things if you wish, including a high quality dagger, some gems and a healing potion.

9. Snowdrift Inn

This small inn can be used to rest whenever necessary. Speak to the innkeeper, Quimby, and one of the patrons, Erevain, for a little more backstory on the town and recent events. You can break open two chests in the rooms upstairs to collect some gold and a skydrop gem if you wish.

10. Damien & The Goblins / Exit to Easthaven Cave

A small boy named Damien stands at this bridge. He'll tell you that Goblins have stolen his fish. If you continue across the bridge you will encounter them. Fight off the Goblins and return what's left of Damien's food.

The path to the right leads to the Easthaven Cave where you can investigate the missing caravans Hrothgar mentioned.
