Frost Giant Caverns

1. Entrance from Wyrm's Tooth

This is the entrance to the Frost Giant Caverns from Wyrm's Tooth.



2. Frostbite

A white wyrm named Frostbite lives here and passes the time snacking on humans. Kill him and his compadres and search the frost and snow on the ground for two stashes of items including a number of small gems and jewelry, a broken suit of armor, a suit of Mithral Plate +2, a Long Bow of Marksmanship and the Cittern of War.



3. Small Altar

This altar is made of human bones, and contains a number of valuable items. Search it for potions of Power and Healing, a Symbol of Pain scroll, some cursed Gauntlets, a blessed and cursed Red Potion and a Ring of Holiness, which grants one extra priest spell at levels one through four to its wearer.



4. Joril

You must collect Joril's badge here. How you do so depends on your alignment. If you've read the note on the table in the Slave's Den and your characters are smart enough, you can trick Joril into giving him your badge without any bloodshed.

The best option is to trick Joril into getting the badge and then battle all the frost giants off. This will get the most experience and the largest amount of treasure. Once you have done this, move on to area five and free the slaves there.



5. Slaves

A group of slaves are kept here in a small fenced off area. Speak to Daven Berenson at the entrance once you've killed Frostbite, Joril and the guards to free them.



6. Kontik's Cave / Small Huts

Kontik, a follower of Auril, has been sent to kill you for meeting with Lysan in the Vale of Shadows, along with five Black Ice Knights. Kontik carries a Long Sword +3, "Enforcer", that allows you to memorize one additional first and second level spell, as well as several other items.

Most importantly, search the two huts near Kontik to collect more treasure, you must pick up the "Barrel of Pure Water". You should take the water to Valestis in Severed Hand's arboretum (Fourth Floor of the Corellon Tower).



7. Treasure

The nine containers marked on the map contain the following items:

Potions: Healing, Heroism, Invisibility, Insulation, Genius, Fortitude, Mind Focusing, Master Thievery, Firebreath, Cold Resistance, Cloud Giant Strength, Clarity, Agility, Absorption, Magic Shielding, Invulnerability, Elixir of Health and an Oil of Speed.

Scroll: Raise Dead, Insect Plague, Spike Stones, Dagger of Venom and Champion's Strength.

Other Items: Wand of the Heavens, Cloak of Protection +2, Leather Armor +2, Dagger +2 "Longtooth", thirteen Darts of Stunning, Blur Deck and a Scimitar +3 "Frostbrand".
